Eastern Pines Fire/Rescue is a volunteer agency that relies heavily  upon the talents of dedicated individuals willing to donate their time to  their community.  Becoming a volunteer firefighter can be an exciting  and rewarding experience.  No former training in firefighting is  required, and all equipment and training will be provided to you free of  charge.

Download the application below and bring it to one of our monthly business meetings held on the fourth Monday of every month at 7:30pm.



Prospective members must meet the following criteria:

 

  - Live within, or up to 1 mile outside, Eastern Pines' fire district.

  - Be at least 18 years of age (16 with written consent from legal
   guardian).

 - Must not be a volunteer member of another fire department within 
   Pitt County, NC.

 - Individuals that are currently enrolled at East Carolina University
   and/or Pitt Community College may be eligible for a "Student
   Membership", please contact Lt. Anderson for
   more information on this opportunity.

 - Individuals that do not have the time or desire to complete Basic Firefighting training ("Rookie School") may be still be eligible for membership as an Engineer candidate.
